Leverhulme Visiting Professorship at Royal Holloway

Martin Karlsson has been awarded a Leverhulme Visiting Professorship at Royal Holloway, University of London.

The Leverhulme Visiting Professorships are highly selective, supporting international collaboration among leading scholars. During his six-month stay at Royal Holloway in 2026, Martin will work with his hosts Melanie Lührmann and Arnaud Chevalier on projects examining the societal consequences of World War I for women’s roles and the long-term effects of early childhood skills. He will also contribute to RHUL’s Centre for the Economics of the Household (EcHo), drawing on his experience in building and coordinating an internationally visible research centre, developing research networks, and supporting early career researchers.
