NIH Research Grant: Unraveling Vaccine Hesitancy through Cross-Country Analysis

We are pleased to announce that Martin Karlsson, in collaboration with an international consortium comprising researchers from 11 countries, has successfully secured a research grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Under the leadership of Principal Investigator Dean Lillard from Ohio State University, this exploratory project embarks on a one-year pilot initiative to delve into the dynamics of vaccine hesitancy. The research will focus on understanding the role of temporal and cross-country variations in COVID rules, vaccine media coverage, and the consistency of public health policies.

The project’s scope involves the collection and harmonization of data on COVID mitigation policies, vaccine roll-outs, and individual attitudes and vaccinations across a diverse array of countries. The NIH has allocated total funds of USD 500,000 to support this pivotal initiative.
